Manager, Diversity Contracting Compliance and Community Outreach
Full-Time

Position Overview: The Manager, Diversity Contracting Compliance and Community Outreach plays a vital role in  overseeing data from JFKIAT and business partners adherence to the goals and statutory requirements for Minority and  Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB), Airport  Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (ACDBE) and Locally Based Enterprises (LBEs). This position primarily  promotes diversity and initiatives supporting local business enterprises. This position will be the point person for all  JFKIAT’s diversity compliance reporting. Additionally, the Manager acts as a liaison for JFKIAT’s 4GOOD program within  the community.

This role has a dual reporting structure with responsibilities to the Vice President, Customer Experience & Commercial and the Director, People Operations.

FLSA Status: Exempt

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

o Oversees ACDBE program by engaging with concessionaires, reporting compliance, participating in Port Authority of  NY & NJ and community events, maintaining a contact list of potential DEIB partners, developing/managing a  mentoring program for our existing minority business partners, and monitoring concession suppliers. 

o Supervises outreach activities in support of the MWBE program.

o In collaboration with the Senior Manager, Procurement, reviews purchasing requirements, identifies potential qualified  MWBE sources for goods, materials, and services.

o Assesses lists of vendors who receive notifications regarding procurement and contracting opportunities and ensures  inclusion of MWBEs; ensures that lists of eligible MWBEs are maintained and regularly updated while engaging with  and maintaining open communication with the Senior Manager, Procurement

o Ensure consistent sustainability approach at T4 community level, works with Manager, Sustainability to unify the policy  across business partners, promotes JFKIAT sustainable leadership.

o Collaborates with community partners, stakeholders, and external agencies to ensure the development of substantive  and meaningful educational activities about JFKIAT’s procurement and contracting opportunities 

o Manages and maintains a directory of WMBE’s, LBEs, and artists, brings individual stories to life, create  communication opportunities, participates in community outreach programs, and advertises RFPs and opportunities at  T4.

o Partners with the Marketing Manager to develop the stories of the T4 is More newsletter.

o Facilitates communications between MWBEs and prime contractors.

o Compiles statistical reports related to outreach, engagement, participation, and compliance. o In collaboration with and under the guidance of the Director, People Operations, fosters a culture of social  responsibility for not only our company, but for the community (both inside and outside of the airport footprint) in which  we do business; communications, relationship management, community outreach, event planning, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training, and Experience

o Bachelor’s degree required

o 5-7 Years of relevant work experience

Special Requirements

o Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances  required to work at an airport.
