About *T4*

Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport

Terminal 4 is the primary international gateway at JFK Airport, operating at a scale that shapes the airport’s overall passenger volume and performance.

Our Terminal

Terminal 4 is the largest terminal at JFK Airport. Spanning more than two million square feet, T4 serves over 27 million passengers annually, represents approximately 44 percent of total passenger traffic at JFK, and is home to 22 domestic and international airline partners.

Since opening in 2001, Terminal 4 has expanded and evolved through successive redevelopment phases designed to increase capacity and strengthen its role as JFK’s primary international gateway. These programs added gates, expanded concourse space, upgraded arrivals and security facilities, and reconfigured gate infrastructure to accommodate larger widebody aircraft and rising passenger volumes.

The continued evolution of T4 is guided by the terminal’s North Star, a shared vision that defines T4’s long-term value proposition. The North Star aligns development across the terminal’s physical environment, commercial program, airline partnerships, and passenger experience. In parallel, we are advancing an ongoing commercial redevelopment that reinforces T4’s New York identity through borough-inspired concepts, local business participation, and redesigned retail and dining environments. Together, these efforts position Terminal 4 as a high-capacity global gateway grounded in a distinctly New York sense of place.
