Marcell Sanchez– Client Manager, Allied Universal
"We’re not law enforcement but we enforce the procedure." For Marcell, working at T4 has taught him to have thick skin and good verbal communication.
“We deal more with doing the access control and moving traffic. This is Queens and it’s a very diverse city, so when you tell people to move they get very defensive. It’s a challenging job but it’s a good job." he says.
Defensive passengers are just one component of the challenges Allied employees face. "One story sticks out to me. There was a lot of traffic during this time and this one gentleman wasn’t moving his car. But he was hysterically crying in his car because his mom had just died, and he was here to pick up his aunt from the Dominican Republic. We offered him an alternative route and diffused the delicate situation with compassion while also doing our job, which is to move cars."
