JFKIAT Partners with Guide Dog Foundation at JFK T4

Back to Newsroom

In celebration of Giving Bark Thursday, JFKIAT partnered with the Guide Dog Foundation to host a puppy class for volunteer puppy raisers at Terminal 4 on July 14. Four future guide dogs in training were introduced to TSA security as well as the busy sights, smells and sounds of T4 during the class. Exposure to these situations provided socialization to the pups so they can become confident guide dogs for passengers who are blind or visually impaired.

This puppy class kicked off a partnership between JFKIAT and the Guide Dog Foundation. Terminal 4 is dedicated to giving back to the community and excited to support the Guide Dog Foundation by providing a unique location for these future guide dogs to train.

T4 Tip

T4 Tip

T4 is a work of art. Really! You’ll find our private collection of world-class paintings, sculptures, and mobiles on display throughout the terminal.

Be Travel-Ready: Plan for a Stress-Free Trip to T4!

Due to construction at JFK, the roadways leading to Terminal 4 may be congested. We highly recommend that our guests allow themselves some extra time to reach the terminal and, whenever possible, use public transportation within the subway system through Howard Beach or LIRR at Jamaica, then use AirTrain JFK.

From there, your ride will be 10 or 15 minutes to the terminal.

Taxis and shared rides from T4 will operate from the Remote Ride App & Car Services Lot, accessible via a free shuttle bus in front of the Arrivals Hall running every 1-2 minutes. Please avoid going with anyone you have not pre-arranged a ride with.
