JFKIAT ISO Certification

Back to Newsroom

JFKIAT received certification for the International Organization of Standards ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems for T4 on December 21, 2020. ISO 45001 is the world’s first international standard for occupational health and safety, issued to protect employees and visitors from work-related accidents and diseases. The certification was awarded after a yearlong audit, assessment, and modification process to ensure all aspects of the JFKIAT Safety Management System are compliant with the worldwide standard. These continued efforts and improved processes will help JFKIAT take its Zero-Accident Culture at T4 to the next level.

JFKIAT understands that customers and employees are concerned about safety at T4. This certification further elevates the health and safety measures that JFKIAT has continued to update and implement due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization is working with partners to monitor the news around COVID-19 as well as any related travel restrictions and precautions for all customers and employees at T4. JFKIAT has ensured its staff and the T4 community are trained and prepared to help customers as well as their own colleagues to engage in safety precautions, help customers get what they need, and promote a safe and secure environment within the terminal.
